For students having difficulties, there are options for help outside of class.
Arrange for one-on-one help before or after school.
Practice by doing odd numbered exercises from sections of the chapter that are difficult. Those problems have answers in the back of the textbook, thereby offering immediate feedback.
Pre-Algebra is studying transformational Geometry and tesselations. It is hands on and combines mathematics and art. We will finish the school year with an indepth study of polynomials.
Algebra is studying quadratic equations. We will not finish the entire chapter. There are still upcoming units on transformational Geometry and probability.
A reminder to parents: I require a parent signature on any test with a grade of D or F. This allows you to see where your child is struggling, and discuss why.
A reminder to students: Expect all classes to go strong through Friday, May 23rd. Please don't slow down with the anticipation of the end of the school year.
